Overview

The MOONDROP Dawn Pro 2 puts two flagship Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips inside a tiny aviation-grade aluminium dongle, delivering a 132dB dynamic range and near-silent noise floor. Three independent LDO power regulators and a dedicated crystal oscillator keep the digital and analog stages isolated, so even sensitive IEMs hear pitch-black background. It decodes PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD256, with a 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced output reaching 4Vrms (124mW + 124mW) — enough headroom for most IEMs and portable headphones. A 100-level independent volume control gives precise, lossless-level adjustment, and the second-generation online interactive DSP lets you flash parametric EQ profiles straight from the MOONDROP app or web hub. Sound is neutral and transparent: clean transients, excellent instrument separation and no artificial warmth. It is a genuine step up from phone headphone jacks for anyone serious about portable audio.
